GOLDEN, Colo. - Alicia Lawrence missed tomorrow's final in the 60-meter dash by one finishing position in her first collegiate race to lead the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team at the Colorado School of Mines Division II Invitational today.

Lawrence ran 7.95 seconds for the fastest time by a Mountain Lion this season and finished in ninth. The top eight runners in today's preliminaries advance to the finals tomorrow. Hayley Gantt ran 8.15 and Tacey Divittorio finished in 8.38.

UCCS will continue the Division II Invitational at 12:05 p.m., on Saturday at the start of the mile run.
