GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Baseball Championships All-Tournament Team was released on Saturday evening, with
Tyler Genrich of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions being named to the squad following a strong final week of action.
Tyler Genrich turned in a very stellar week at the RMAC tournament, as he led the Mountain Lions with a .500 average in the batter's box with six hits in 12 at bats. The Colorado Springs native got off to a blazing start, as he blasted two homers and collected five RBIs in the Mountain Lions first round match up with CSU Pueblo on Wednesday. Genrich would add five runs scored on the weekend, to finish with a total of six hits, five runs, six RBIs, with two doubles and two homers on the week in Grand Junction.
In his first season as an everyday starter for the Mountain Lions, Genrich enjoyed a breakout season, as he hit .386, with 17 doubles, 5 triples, and 18 home runs. In 52 games for the Mountain Lions, Genrich did not miss a start, scoring 52 runs for UCCS, and batting in another 71 to put him in the top 20 in NCAA Division II.
Genrich and the Mountain Lions finished the season with a record 33 wins, also capturing their first postseason victory since the 2022 season.
