MTF Outdoor Rank No. 22 in Week 2

Men’s Track and Field Ranks No. 22 in Week 2 USTFCCCA National TFRI

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's track & field team ranks No. 22 in Week 2 of the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Indoor Track & Field Rating Index with 90.03 TFRI points. 

Grand Valley State takes over the top of the men's rankings with 483.23 TFRI points, while Angelo State sits in second place with 244.85 TFRI points. Colorado School of Mines is the leading RMAC representative with a No. 3 ranking and 226.23 TFRI points. CSU Pueblo and Colorado Mesa are the only other RMAC representatives, placing #8 and #18 respectively. 

Through the second week of the season, the Mountain Lions have recorded a total of eight NCAA provisional qualifying marks with one of these being within the top 10 in NCAA Division II Track and Field.  *Converted for altitude/track size

In the second edition of the USTFCCCA South Central Regional Rankings, Angelo State takes the lead with 244.85 TFRI points, while UCCS ranks 6th.

The Mountain Lions will compete in the Mines Midweek Meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at CSM Stermole Track & Field Complex in Golden, Colorado.
