Lacrosse Ranked No. 8 in Final NCAA Regular Season Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In the third and final NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Midwest Region rankings of the regular season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is ranked No. 8 among the region's top teams.
 
The Mountain Lions capped a historic regular season by earning the program's first-ever Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Regular Season Championship, along with the No. 2 seed in the RMAC Tournament. UCCS concluded the season with a 10-5 overall record and an 8-2 mark in conference play.
 
In postseason action, the Mountain Lions were defeated in the RMAC Tournament semifinal round by No. 3 seed Westminster University, 13-10.
 
The Midwest Region includes 28 teams across four conferences: the RMAC (six teams), Great Lakes Valley Conference (eight teams), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (five teams), and Great Midwest Athletic Conference (nine teams).
 
The NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship field will feature 24 teams, with six selections from each of the four regions. The championship bracket will be announced Sunday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. (MT).
 
First- and second-round games are scheduled for May 7 and May 9, followed by quarterfinal matchups on May 16. The 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championships will take place May 21 and 23 in Rochester, New York.
