INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The third and final 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball regular-season regional rankings were released Wednesday afternoon, and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team checked in at No. 6 in the South Central Region.
Riding a six-game winning streak, the Mountain Lions closed out the regular season at home with a pair of victories over Adams State University (72-63) and New Mexico Highlands University (71-67). Top-seeded Colorado Mesa University will host the tournament's final four teams March 6-7 in Grand Junction, Colo.
The 64-team NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship includes eight teams from each of the eight regions. The South Central Region consists of 15 RMAC institutions and 16 members from the Lone Star Conference.
