Arvayo kicked off his day with marks of 7.25s in the 60m dash and 6.32m in the men's long jump before matching his personal best in the shot put with a toss of 12.21m and clearing a bar height of 1.85m in the high jump.
  • Junior Krissie Sanders collected the first All-America nod of the meet for the Mountain Lions in the women's 60m hurdles as she earned second team recognition after posting the 15th-fastest time among the preliminary field at 8.66s.
  • In the men's weight throw competition, senior Michael Roberts secured Second Team All-America accolades as he uncorked a toss of 19.91m to finish 12th overall in the field.
  • Junior Emma Montoya represented the Mountain Lions in the preliminary round of the women's mile race as she galloped to Second Team All-America honors in the event, finishing 16th overall among the prelim field with a time of 4:58.32.
  • The Mountain Lions added another Second Team All-America honor in the women's weight throw competition, where senior Savannah Jorgens unleashed a toss of 18.60m to finish 10th overall in the field.
  • Senior Kseniya Nikanorov closed out the first day of competition on the outer track and claimed a fifth and final Second Team All-America accolade for the Mountain Lions as she raced to a 15th place finish with a time of 17:54.54.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
  • Roberts becomes the second student-athlete in indoor program history to earn All-America accolades in the men's weight throw, joining former teammate Luke Hard, who finished ninth overall at last season's indoor national championship meet to earn second team recognition.
  • Sanders is the second student-athlete in indoor program history to secure All-America honors in the women's 60m hurdles. Prior to Sanders achieving the feat today, the only All-American in program history was Melissa Moreni, who earned the accolade twice as a member of the first team in 2023-24 and the second team in 2021-22.
  • With Montoya garnering Second Team All-America accolades in the women's mile, UCCS has now had at least one All-American in the event in nine of the past 10 years. In that span, seven Mountain Lion student-athletes have combined to collect a total of 15 All-America honors, including 11 first team accolades and four second team honors.
  • After securing Second Team All-America accolades in the women's weight throw, Jorgens joins former teammate Anna Holland as the second student-athlete in indoor program history to earn All-America honors. Holland earned the accolade at the 2023-24 indoor national championship meet, where she also recorded a 10th place finish in the event.
  • The Mountain Lions have now had an All-American in the women's 5,000m in back-to-back indoor seasons with Nikanorov becoming the fourth student-athlete in indoor program history to record an All-America accolade in the event.
  • The United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) unveiled an updated All-America award structure for the 2025-26 academic year, with First-Team All-America being awarded to the top eight finishers in each men's and women's event, Second Team All-America being awarded to finishers 9-16 in each individual men's and women's event and finishers 9-12 in each men's and women's relay event, and Honorable Mention being awarded to finishers 17-18 in each individual men's and women's event.
