COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track & field teams completed a sweep of the 2026 RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday with the men's team scoring 124 points to win their second consecutive indoor conference title and the women's team notching 157.5 points to hoist the indoor trophy for the first time since the 2021-22 indoor season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mountain Lions scored big points in the men's heptathlon as senior Dillon Arvayo, junior Evan Atkin, senior Broden Cahoon, and freshman Luke Masterson finished the final three events and combined for a total of 24 team points. Arvayo put together another strong showing on Saturday as he earned the individual event title with a personal best raw score of 5,185 points, while his NCAA provisional qualifying converted score of 5,209 points will put him in contention for a spot at the indoor national championship meet in two weeks. Atkin was the second overall finisher as he posted a season-best NCAA provisional qualifying converted score of 5,047 points, while Cahoon finished fifth overall at a converted score of 4,713 points and Masterson took seventh overall with a personal best converted score of 4,512 points.
- Redshirt senior Jake Hall notched the first individual event title of Saturday's action as he finished in a tie for first place in the men's high jump with a bar clearance of 2.01m. In addition to the nine points scored by Hall, freshman Lyai Lyai added four more points in the event for the men's team as he posted a personal best mark of 1.96m for a fifth-place finish.
- Senior Savannah Jorgens provided some drama in the women's weight throw competition as she posted a school record and NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 19.30m on her final throw of the competition to soar into first place and collect the gold medal while scoring 10 points for the women's team. Redshirt junior Grace Solarin tacked on six more points in the event as she logged a third-place finish with a personal best and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 17.51m.
- The Mountain Lions placed a pair of student-athletes on the podium in the men's weight throw as senior Michael Roberts took second place overall and scored eight points with an NCAA provisional qualifying heave of 20.06m while junior Hayden Cuevas added six more points with an NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 19.28m that put him in third place overall.
- The UCCS men's squad scored 20 points in the men's 400m dash as four student-athletes placed inside the top six finishers in the race. Redshirt junior Andrew Muncy was the top point-scorer for the Mountain Lions as he clocked a converted time of 48.44s to claim second place in the competition, while senior Sebastien Jean took fourth place in a converted time of 48.46s, freshman Joshua Gross secured fifth place in a converted time of 48.76s, and freshman Hayden Fox raced to a sixth place finish in a converted time of 49.17s.
- Gross, Fox, and Muncy teamed up with freshman Revano Plummer at the end of the day in the men's 4x400m relay and went on to score six more points for UCCS as they carried the baton around the track in a converted time of 3:19.06 that placed them third overall in the race.
- The Mountain Lions gathered 20 points in the women's 60m hurdles final with senior Krissie Sanders leading the way and scoring eight points as the second-place finisher with an NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 8.54s. Senior Abigail Frey added six points in the event as she hurdled to a third-place finish at a personal best converted time of 8.82s, while freshman Colette Bibeault (8.99c), sophomore Payton Rodgers (9.19c), and freshman Tristyn Buss (9.20c) rounded out the field in sixth, seventh, and eighth place, respectively.
- As she did yesterday, Sanders returned to the track later in the day in the women's 400m dash final and put forth another personal best performance as she earned a fourth-place finish and scored five points in the event with a converted time of 56.63s.
- In the women's high jump, junior Dallis Robinson earned a second-place finish and tallied eight points as she cleared an NCAA provisional qualifying bar height of 1.68m. Freshman Evelyn McClellan also added 4.5 points in the event as she finished in a four-way tie for third place with a mark of 1.63m.
- Sophomore Payton Rodgers made an appearance on the podium for the Mountain Lions in the women's triple jump as she secured a third-place finish in the event with an NCAA provisional qualifying leap of 11.79m. Senior Kathryn Carroll and junior Brielle Bracken combined to add four more points in the event with Carroll scoring three points as the sixth-place finisher with a mark of 11.37m and Bracken posting one point with an eighth-place leap of 11.27m.
- Junior Emma Montoya put together a huge performance in the women's mile race as she shaved more than four seconds off her previous season-best, posting an NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 4:50.57 for a fourth-place finish and five team points.
- Just a couple hours later, Montoya was back in action in the women's 3,000m final and she managed to use her remaining energy to secure a fifth-place finish overall and scored four points with a converted time of 9:54.86. After winning the 5,000m race yesterday, senior Kseniya Nikanorov also doubled down in the 3,000m and added three more points in the event with a sixth-place finish at a converted time of 9:56.71.
- Freshman Jason Lomosi and sophomore Realiti Smith teamed up to score seven points in the men's triple jump with Lomosi finishing fifth overall at a mark of 14.31m and Smith taking sixth overall at a mark of 14.13m.
- In the men's 200m dash final, senior Daryn Ofori-Kuragu made another slight improvement to his season-best as he circled the track in an NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 21.50s, scoring four points as the fifth-place finisher in the event. Junior Zamari Burrell added two more points in the event as posted a converted time of 21.96s for a seventh-place finish overall.
- Junior Zane Bullock and freshman Katie Jewell pushed eight points in the direction of the UCCS women's squad in the 200m dash as Bullock finished fourth overall with a converted time of 25.22s and Jewell claimed sixth overall with a converted time of 25.35s.
- In the women's 4x400m relay, junior Lilyana Delagarza, freshman Bentley Fitzgerald, freshman Michelle Headley, and redshirt senior Gigi Douillard managed to score six points as they were the third-fastest team to cross the finish line with a converted time of 3:54.00.
- UCCS collected three points in the men's 800m as redshirt senior Joseph Hamilton posted a season-best NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 1:51.87 for a third-place finish in the race.
- Redshirt junior Joseph Impellitteri posted an NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 4:05.88 in the men's mile as he finished just outside of scoring range in ninth place.
- Junior Brett Davis added an NCAA provisional qualifying converted time of 8:11.50 in the men's 3,000m, finishing 10th overall in the stacked field.
- In the men's 60m dash final, freshman Noah Brown sprinted to a converted time of 6.87s as he finished fifth overall in the competition and scored four points for the UCCS men's team. On the women's side, junior Taryn Fettig scored a pair of points as the seventh-place finisher in the women's 60m dash final with a converted time of 7.78s.
- The Mountain Lions secured one point in the women's 800m race with redshirt sophomore Olivia Sargent posting a personal best converted time of 2:15.07 for an eighth-place finish.
- Freshman Xavier Sutherlin picked up one point in the men's 60m hurdles final as he posted a converted time of 8.41s for an eighth-place finish in the event.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- UCCS recorded updates to the top five lists in the indoor record book for four different events on day two of the RMAC Indoor Championships, including the women's 400m, women's 60m hurdles, women's weight throw, and men's heptathlon.
- UCCS posted a total of 19 podium finishes at this year's indoor conference championship meet, including six gold medals, six silver medals, and seven bronze medals.
- Following the indoor conference championship meet, the Mountain Lions have recorded a total of 42 NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks, including 24 on the men's side and 18 on the women's side.
