GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators released the Academic All-District Baseball teams for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as NAIA. Two University of Colorado Colorado Springs athletes were recognized as both
Kit Wigington and
Ryder Mancuso earned All-District distinction.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Kit Wigington earns the third Academic All-District honor of his career after he wrapped up his studies of Mechanical Engineering this spring. A First Team RMAC All-Academic selection, also for the third time in his career, Wigington hit .379 while driving in 42 runs and scoring 38 himself. The final weekend of the regular season Wigington continued to rewrite the program's record book as he set the new record for total bases at 402 on his career.
Ryder Mancuso enjoyed the best statistical season of this UCCS career, as he earned the top spot in the Mountain Lions rotation, including two RMAC Player of the Week highlights. Mancuso earns his first Academic All-District selection while also being named to the RMAC All-Academic First team for the first time this season. On the mound, Mancuso set career bests in ERA (7.41), Innings Pitched (68.0), Wins (5), and Strikeouts (59). Mancuso combined with fellow starter
Jason Fink (50) as the first pitching tandem to strike out fifty batters each in the same season.
Kit Wigington was selected as a finalist for the All-America teams, which will be announced on July 1
st by the College Sports Communicators office.
