COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – College Sports Communicators announced the 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Teams on Tuesday morning, with University of Colorado Colorado Springs student-athletes

Knutson and Urbanic become the third and fourth Mountain Lions to receive CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large distinction. They join three-time awardee
Madison McGriff and 2022 honoree Natalie Church.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The CSC Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams include the following sports: Beach Volleyball, Bowling, Crew/Rowing, Fencing, Field Hockey, Golf, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Rifle, Skiing, and Water Polo.
Junior defender
Kendra Knutson started all 15 games for the Mountain Lions, picking up a team high 43 ground balls and adding 16 caused turnovers. A native of Savage, Minn., Knutson finished the season ranking fifth overall in the RMAC for ground balls per game (2.87). This past season, Knutson earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic First Team honors and was selected to the All-RMAC Honorable Mention team. Knutson is earning a Business degree at UCCS.
Joining Knutson on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District team and the RMAC All-Academic First Team is
Sarah Urbanic. A two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week selection and an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Player of the Week awardee, Urbanic was voted to the All-RMAC First Team following her sophomore season at UCCS. A Criminal Justice major, she started in all 15 games, leading the Mountain Lions in goals (56), points (75), shots (113), shots on goal (82), player-up goals (nine) and game-winning goals (four), while ranking second on the team in assists with 19. She set new program season records in points (75), points per game (5.00), goals per game (3.73), shots attempted, player-up goals, and game-winning goals.
UCCS closed out the 2025 season with a 9-6 overall record and the third-best mark in the league with a 6-4 conference record.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 8.
