HOW IT HAPPENED
- Redshirt junior Jagger Zlotoff opened the third and final day of the outdoor national championship meet for UCCS on the track in the men's 1500m final and went on to secure Second Team All-America accolades as he finished 10th overall with a time of 3:53.37.
- Next on the track for the Mountain Lions was senior Anna Fauske competing in the women's 5,000m for the final race of her collegiate career and she put together an outstanding effort as she surged into eighth place overall with a time of 16:50.43 to score one point for the UCCS women's team and notch First Team All-America accolades.
- Over at the throws ring, junior Kyle Demos was in action for the second consecutive day and went on to post a solid effort in the men's shot put as he posted a mark of 16.70m to finish 17th overall in the competition.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Fauske finishes her incredible career with the Mountain Lions as a nine-time All-American as she earned the honor three times for cross country, four times for indoor track & field, and twice for outdoor track and field.
- Zlotoff has now collected All-America honors in the men's 1500m for three consecutive outdoor seasons, posting First Team All-America accolades with seventh place finishes in both 2023 and 2024 before adding the Second Team All-America recognition this afternoon.
- UCCS recorded a total of five All-America honors during the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, including two First Team accolades and three Second Team honors.
