COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2025 Women's Basketball Tournament field Saturday evening, and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions have received the No. 6 seed in the eight-team tournament. The Mountain Lions will travel to Alamosa, Colo. to take on No. 3 seed Adams State University on Tuesday, March 4 at 6 p.m.
Colorado Mesa University won the regular season with an 18-2 RMAC record (23-4 overall). Earning the No. 2 seed is Western Colorado University (20-7 overall, 15-5 RMAC). Black Hills State University (17-10) and Colorado State University Pueblo (18-10) finished tied for fourth in the league standings, with BHSU winning the tiebreaker for the No. 4 seed, while the ThunderWolves will face off against the YellowJackets as the No. 5 seed. Rounding out the eight-team bracket is No. 7 seed Regis University (13-14, 11-9 RMAC), and the eighth seed goes to New Mexico Highlands University (13-13, 10-10) after winning the tiebreaker with Colorado School of Mines for the final spot in the tournament.
The Mountain Lions and Grizzlies faced each other just once during the regular season, with the Grizzlies winning the game on their home court, 71-65, on Feb. 20.
The winner between UCCS and ASU will face the winner between No. 2 WCU and No. 7 Regis. The highest remaining seed following Tuesday's quarterfinal matchups will host the final four teams on March 7-8.
