Women's Basketball Season Recap
- The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team had a stellar 2025-26 season, making their third consecutive RMAC Tournament appearance under Head Coach Misty Wilson.
- The Mountain Lions began their season with an 88-83 victory over UT Dallas, but was followed by a three-game losing streak against non-conference opponents. UCCS bounced back in late November for an impressive 87-52 win over Western New Mexico, followed by an 80-66 win over the University of Central Oklahoma just before beginning conference play.
- UCCS opened their conference schedule with a tough loss to then-ranked No. 14 Colorado Mesa University but handed Westminster University an impressive 82-45 defeat on December 6. The Mountain Lions dropped the ensuing game to Black Hills State University, but had a comeback to earn victories over Chadron State College and then-ranked No. 3 Lubbock Christian University.
- After a two-point loss on the road to University of Texas Permian Basin, UCCS went on a four-game win streak in early January until dropping a game to New Mexico Highlands University on January 22. Followed by a win at Fort Lewis College and an overtime victory at Western Colorado University, the Mountain Lions were handed a loss to then-ranked No. 7 Colorado Mesa.
- UCCS got back on track and ended the regular season on a strong note, winning seven of their eight conference games throughout the month of February and securing the No. 2 seed in the RMAC Tournament.
- The Mountain Lions began their post-season journey with a 75-65 win over No. 7 seed Fort Lewis on March 3. UCCS followed that up by earning a 74-71 victory on March 6 over No. 3 seed Adams State University in the RMAC Semifinals, effectively securing a spot in the Championship on March 7. Unfortunately, No. 1 seed Colorado Mesa had a dominant performance and collected a 92-67 victory over the Mountain Lions.
- UCCS now faced the NCAA South Central Regional games, competing against No. 5 seed Adams State on March 13. After securing a 67-62 victory over the Grizzlies, the Mountain Lions went on to battle against No. 1 seed Texas Woman's University in the NCAA South Central Regional Semifinals. UCCS' stellar season came to a close as the Pioneers handed a tough loss to the Mountain Lions on March 14.

Statistical Leaders
- Amyah Moore Allen led the Mountain Lions in scoring and ranked among RMAC leaders, landing second place in overall scoring (21.2 points per game, ranked eighth nationally) and in total converted field goals (251, ranked sixth nationally). Moore Allen ranked third in the RMAC in steals (2.2 per game) and fourth place in blocks (1.1 per game).
- Breelyn Robinson led UCCS with 38 three-pointers made across 33 games, while Rylie Ottmann owned the top three-point percentage at 39.7 percent.
- Gia Bradley logged an impressive 4-of-4 three-point shots in a 72-70 victory over Colorado School of Mines on February 19.
- Jayla Jackson-Allen and Ottmann were the third and fourth leading scorers this season, averaging 10.6 points per game and 6.5 points per game, respectively.
- Moore Allen recorded the season high in points scored in a game for UCCS with 35 on 13-of-28 shooting from the field on March 6 in a 74-71 post-season victory over Adams State.
- Johnson led the team in field goal percentage, shooting 53.6 percent.
- Brooklyn Hurtado was the second on the team, shooting 51.1 percent, and Moore Allen was third, shooting 48.1 from the field.
- Appearing in 20 games, Hurtado successfully converted 83.9 percent of her free throws, while Jackson-Allen made 81.1 shots from the charity stripe. Moore Allen and Mya Wilson each logged 74.4 percent and 70.1 percent on their free throw attempts this season, respectively.
- Moore Allen served as the team's main distributor this season, logging 84 assists across 33 games. Ottmann chipped in an average of two assists per game, while Wilson logged an average of 1.7.
- On the defensive end, Moore Allen pulled down the most rebounds (5.7 per game) with Johnson close behind (5.6 per game). Johnson recorded a season-high against West Texas A&M on November 20, grabbing 12 rebounds against the Buffaloes.
- Moore Allen led the Mountain Lions in total steals, logging 74 across the season. Wilson was second on the team with a total of 51 steals. Moore Allen also led UCCS in blocks, averaging one per game.
- Six Mountain Lions appeared in all 33 contests, including Moore Allen, Ottmann, Mya Wilson, Jayla Jackson-Allen, and Bradley. Six Mountain Lions averaged over 20 minutes per game, with those being Moore Allen (32.4), Ottmann (27.0), Jackson-Allen (27.0), Wilson (24.1), Robinson (23.1), and Johnson (21.1).
- Moore Allen and Ottmann were the only Mountain Lions to start all 33 games this season.
- Head Coach Misty Wilson logged a combined record of 63-30 in her third season at the helm of the program. She had guided the Mountain Lions to three consecutive RMAC Tournament appearances and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
- UCCS ranked first in the RMAC in both free throw attempts per game (20.1) and turnover margin (+4.9), which qualified for a national rank of No. 17. They continuously put on dominant defensive performances, ranking second in turnovers forced per game (18.6).
- The Mountain Lions were aggressive in drawing fouls, converting the third most free throws in the conference (43.6 percent) and qualifying for a No. 28 national ranking. Similarly, UCCS ranked third in the RMAC in scoring, averaging 70.5 points per game.

- Amyah Moore Allen capped off her career as one of the best players in program history. Moore Allen finished her career with the second most points in program history with a total of 1,857. In the 2025-26 season, Moore Allen averaged 21 points per game, scoring a total of 694 points across 33 games. Starting in all 33 games, Moore Allen averaged 32.4 minutes, 5.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and one block per game. She shot 48.1 percent from the field, 28.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 74.4 percent from the charity stripe. Moore Allen recorded the season high in points scored in a game for UCCS with 35 on 13-of-28 shooting from the field on March 6 in a 74-71 post-season victory over Adams State.
- UCCS scored 2,310 points this year, which ranks as the third-most points scored in a season in program history.
Regional Rankings
- UCCS was listed in all three NCAA South Central Regional rankings this year, before securing the No. 4 seed in the NCAA regional tournament.
