  • A Cowboy double and single combined for their first run of the game but would be their lone run in the second to bring the tally to 2-1 after two.
  • The third inning was a scoring frenzy, with UCCS adding six runs, as NMHU grabbed three of their own. Kasey Campbell's two run shot highlighted the Mountain Lions push which totaled four hits, as the Cowboy's runs came on a pair of singles and a hit by pitch.

Iverson led the effort with a single, followed by back to back walks to Kit Wigington and Caleb Stubbings to load the base paths. A balk brought Iverson in, then Evan Steinberger singled Wigington and Stubbings in later that at bat. After Steinberger moved to third on a passed ball, Alec Gomez grounded to short but got the run in to complete the four run first.

  • The Cowboys captured the only three runs of their day in the sixth. Starting the inning with a single and a walk, the Cowboys first run came across on a passed ball through Evan Steinberger. A wild pitch in the same at bat plated the second run, with Chase Stewart doubling in the third run of the frame, and the lone earned run of Jason Fink's day.
