PITTSBURG, Kan. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track and field team closed the second day of the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday with eight more All-America honors as the men's team recorded a program best T14th place finish with 15 points and the women's team secured a T22nd place finish with 8 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A redshirt sophomore from Gilbert, Ariz., Jagger Zlotoff put together a monster performance in the men's mile as he went toe-to-toe with a strong field of competitors to earn a third-place medal with a time of 4:18.60 and collect First Team All-America accolades in the event for the second straight indoor season. In addition, Zlotoff's strong run added six points to the tally for the UCCS men's team.
- Junior Kymani Sterling earned his first career indoor All-America honor in the men's 200m dash, where he landed on the first team with a fourth-place finish at a time of 21.32s. Sterling, whose time was just shy of his personal best mark from yesterday, tabbed five points for the Mountain Lion men's team with his finish.
- In the men's 60m dash, redshirt senior Brian Mosley Jr. earned First Team All-America accolades for the first time in his collegiate career with a sixth-place finish in the final race for the event at a time of 6.75s. With his placement in the race, Mosley Jr. also scored three points for the UCCS men's team.
- Competing at the indoor national meet for the third consecutive year, redshirt junior Kate Hedlund raced her way to First Team All-America honors in the women's mile for the second time in her collegiate career with an eighth-place finish at a time of 4:46.33. Hedlund, who collected her second All-America accolade of the meet after earning First Team honors in the DMR last night, also tallied one point for the UCCS women's team.
- The UCCS women's team added another point in the women's 60m hurdles final, where senior Melissa Moreni earned her first career First Team All-America nod with an eighth-place time of 8.56s.
- One day after teaming up with Hedlund, Ashten Loeks, and Keyanda Bolton for First Team All-America honors in the DMR, junior Anna Fauske returned to the track on Saturday in the women's 3,000m final and went on to shatter the women's indoor program record for the event with a time of 9:28.23 that was good for ninth place overall and Second Team All-America distinction.
- The Mountain Lions collected two more Second Team All-America nods in the field events with redshirt senior Audrey Bloomquist earning the honor as the 11th place finisher in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.13m and redshirt senior Skye Ciccarelli picking up the accolade in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.08m.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- In addition to the indoor program best finish on the men's side, the Mountain Lion men also scored the most points in school history at an indoor national championship meet with 15.
- The UCCS men's and women's teams combined to earn 16 All-America honors across this year's two-day indoor national meet, including ten first team honors and six second team accolades.

- The Mountain Lions will now turn their attention to the outdoor portion of their season as they will head to Pueblo, Colo., for the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invite on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.
