COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs baseball team can't keep pace with the University of Mary's offense, dropping their non-conference finale 16-13.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UCCS opened the scoring in the first inning of action when Vander Hodges walked with the bases loaded to bring home Caleb Chance. They added to the lead on the next at bat with an Evan Steinberger single that plated both Tyler Richardson and Kasey Campbell.
- Mary would pull even in the top half of the second, with Noah Hull launching a solo shot to left field, then Daniel Martin homering himself and Michael Polson in to knot the game at three runs. The tie wouldn't last, with Kalem Haney doubling home Cru Walker before the Mountain Lions could navigate the inning.
- UCCS grabbed the lead back in the bottom of the second when Hayden Iverson launched his fourth homer of the season, to bring himself and Ronan Hella across to give UCCS the 5-4 lead.
- Noah Hull's second solo shot evened the game at five, but UCCS responded with a dominant fifth, scoring Caleb Chance on an error, Cambell on a Vander Hodges single, then earning three on a Evan Steinberger blast to bring the score to 10-5.
- Over the next three innings, Mary's bats came to life, scoring eleven unanswered between the sixth and eighth innings to give the Marauders the 16-10 lead.
- UCCS chipped away in the ninth, bringing in Caleb Stubbings on a passed ball, then plating Richardson and Campbell on a Hodges double, but time ran out on UCCS as they lose their final non-conference bout 16-13.
