Caden Leal led four Mountain Lions competing in the 2023 Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners Invitational.

AROUND THE COURSE
- Leal clocked a time of 26:51.01 to finish 37th overall.
- Finishing back-to-back with 59th and 60th place finishes were Koy Cunningham (27:36.05) and Joseph Hamilton (27:39.40).
- Nathan Hayes crossed the finish line with a time of 28:22.64 to finish 76th overall.
RACE LEADERS
- Colorado College's James Settle bested all 108 runners with a time of 24:50.51.
- Air Force Academy earned 28 points to finish first in the eight-team meet. Also posting top three team finishes were Colorado School of Mines (51 points) and MSU Denver (76 points).
BEYOND THE FINISH LINE
- Hamilton and Hayes posted new career top 8k times this morning.

- UCCS will send its top runners to the prestigious University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational next Friday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. (MT).
