NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their All-Region honors for the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season on Wednesday, with 17 student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs track and field teams combining to collect a total of 19 All-Region accolades for the South Central region.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
From the UCCS men's track and field team, ten student-athletes combined to notch 11 All-Region honors across eight different events.
Thorben Hast,
Peyton Turnage, and
Jagger Zlotoff each earned their first career All-Region honors for the outdoor season, while
Justice Mendoza and
Brian Mosley Jr. brought home the accolade on an individual basis for the first time in 2023 after making the All-Region team for the 4x100m relay last year. A quartet of Mountain Lions secured All-Region accolades for the second time in their UCCS careers, including
Evan Graff,
Skye Ciccarelli,
Peterson Bohannon, and
Sawyer Christopher, while
Dakota Abbott earned the honor in the triple jump for the third consecutive year.

The UCCS women's track and field team saw seven student-athletes combine to notch a total of eight All-Region honors across five separate events.
Kate Hedlund,
Anna Holland, and
Victoria Farinas each made their debuts on the All-Region squad with top-five marks in their respective events, while
Audrey Bloomquist earned her first individual All-Region nod in the triple jump after making the All-Region team last year as part of the women's 4x100m relay team.
Keyanda Bolton and
Brittany Fuchs joined Bloomquist in making the All-Region team in the 4x100m for a second consecutive year, while
Melissa Moreni claimed All-Region honors in the 100m hurdles for the third consecutive outdoor season.

The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants for the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday afternoon, and the Mountain Lions are set to send 14 student-athletes to the three-day national championship meet that will take place at the CSUP ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo., on May 25-27.
