NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the first edition of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Rankings released on Tuesday afternoon, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track & field team tallied 57.06 TFRI Points for a No. 21 ranking.
Grand Valley State University checks in as the No. 1 ranked women's team in the country with 319.68 TFRI points to begin the season.
Over the first two meets of the 2023 outdoor track & field season, three student-athletes from the women's track & field team have made their way onto the NCAA Division II Provisonal Qualifying List across three different events.

The Mountain Lion men and women also notched a pair of top-five rankings in the first release of the USTFCCCA South Central Regional Rankings on Monday, March 28. The women's team opens the outdoor season as the No. 3 ranked squad in the South Central with 584.88 TFRI points, while the men's team starts their outdoor campaign as the No. 5 ranked team in the region with 479.12 TFRI points.
