NEW ORLEANS, La. – After sweeping the RMAC Outdoor Championships last weekend, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track & field teams each climbed into the top-ten of the Week 6 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rating Index. The UCCS men's team jumped one spot to land at No. 8 (108.48 points) while the women's team rose seven spots and garnered a No. 10 ranking (90.81 points).
West Texas A&M University remains in the top spot in the men's rankings for the fourth consecutive week with 278.28 points and Azusa Pacific University took over the No. 1 ranking on the women's side with 264.21 points.
With the 2022 outdoor conference championship meet in the rearview mirror, the Mountain Lions have combined to record a total of 39 NCAA qualifying marks, including 15 that currently rank in the top-ten in the nation for their respective event.

UCCS also made a jump in the Week 6 USTFCCCA South Central Regional Rankings as the Mountain Lion women rose one spot for a No. 2 ranking (725.01 points) and the UCCS men's team climbed two spots to land a No. 3 ranking (646.88 points).
The Mountain Lions will look to bolster their individual national marks when they are back in action on Friday, May 6 at the Air Force Twilight Open.
