• Regis tacked on to their lead and took back two more runs just a half a inning later off two hits an a second Mountain Lion error to make it 3-9 through four innings of play. The Rangers added another two runs in the bottom half of the fifth with a Levi Padilla double and wild pitch accounting for the two runs.
• In the sixth and seventh inning, the Mountain Lions found offensive life by driving in three runs with
Matt Johnson bringing in a run through an RBI single in the sixth with Wigington registering his fourth RBI before Faragallah scored the third run with a sacrifice fly.
• Now trailing 6-11, the Rangers kept at it in the box by matching a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth inning as a UCCS infield error was responsible for the two-run seventh with a single and double extending the Regis lead to 15-6 score through eight innings.
