PUEBLO, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field team continued their impressive performances into day two of the RMAC Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colo., as they recorded four podium finishes and saw the women's 200m school record fall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Graduate student Dawson Hopkinson earned the lone event win of the day in the men's pole vault as he cleared a bar height of 5.05m to take the individual title and tally ten points for the UCCS men's team. Sophomore Holden Daniels also added another five points from the event with a season best vault of 4.70m that was good for fourth place.
- The Mountain Lion men also pulled in 14 points from the men's high jump, where Skye Ciccarelli and Tanner Walsh each made their way to a mark of 2.06m to finish with silver and bronze medals, respectively.
- Redshirt sophomore Maggie Remsberg had the first podium finish of the day on the women's side as she completed the heptathlon with a personal best mark of 4,569 points for a second-place finish. Remsberg's solid performance pushed eight points towards the UCCS women's team, and her mark ranks second all-time in UCCS program history.
- In the men's multi events, Sam Repsher finished the decathlon in sixth place with 5,793 points to add three more points to the men's total.
- Redshirt sophomore Anna Holland was the top Mountain Lion finisher in the women's discus throw final as she tossed 42.54m to take fourth place and earn five points for the women's team. Holland's mark established a new personal best, and it ranks second all-time in program history.
- Scoring five points in the women's 3000m steeplechase was sophomore Rachel Richtman, who used a late kick in the final 100m to take a fourth-place finish with a personal best time of 11:32.71.
- UCCS' men's and women's sprinters filled up the qualifying field in the 200m dash with plenty of black and gold, as three men and three women qualified for tomorrow's final race in the event. For the women, Kayla Zink was the top finisher as she broke her own school record and won her heat with a wind-aided time of 23.67s. Brittany Fuchs also won her heat with a time of 24.87s to automatically qualify for the finals, while Keyanda Bolton raced to a time of 25.02s to qualify as well.
- In the men's 200m prelim, freshman Kymani Sterling posted the second fastest time in the field at 21.27s to qualify for the finals. Justice Mendoza won the second heat with his time of 21.33s to join Sterling in the final, and Brian Mosley jr. raced to a time of 21.98s to slip into the final as the ninth and final competitor.
- Sophomore Melissa Moreni posted the quickest time in the women's 100m hurdle prelim as she won her heat with a time of 14.30s to automatically advance to tomorrow's final. She will be joined in the final by Terra Valadez, who punched her ticket for tomorrow's race with a time of 14.88s.
- Chris Hudnall also made his way into tomorrow's final for the men's 110m hurdle after running a time of 14.44s that ranked as the third fastest time in the field of competitors.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- After two days of action, the Mountain Lion men have tallied a total of 57 points while the women's team has accumulated 50 total points.

- The 2022 RMAC Outdoor Championships will come to a close tomorrow with a schedule full of final events. The field events will be the first to get started with the women's pole vault and women's long jump going off at 9:30 a.m. followed by the running events beginning at 11 a.m. with the women's 4x100m relay.
