PUEBLO, Colo. – Nine Mountain Lions scored at least one goal as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team posted a 21-8 win Thursday afternoon at Colorado State University Pueblo. The 21 goals this season are a season high and the third most goals scored in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Annalise Carr connected with Angela Naughton and Hannah Mill for two straight goals before Natalie Church found Julia Patrick to give UCCS a quick 3-0 lead. The Pack scored their first goal of the game from Baylee Mee but the Mountain Lions offense and defense proved too powerful for the ThunderWolves. Following Mee's goal, UCCS outscored CSU Pueblo, 12-0, in the next 16 minutes.
- Audrey Napp's goal with 1:35 left in the opening stanza proved to be the game-winning goal for the Mountain Lions as they snagged a 9-1 lead in the first 15 minutes.
- Naughton scored her second goal of the game and 12th of the season with 5:10 left in the first half to give UCCS their largest lead of the game, 15-1. The Pack's sticks came alive to close out the first half as they netted three straight goals to cut into UCCS' first half lead, 15-4.
- With a running clock for the entire second half, UCCS outscored CSU Pueblo, 6-4, and outshot CSUP in the final 30 minutes, 11-6 (8-6 shots on goal).
GAME STATISTICS
- Eight Mountain Lions scored at least four points against the Pack, led by Napp's game high six points (three goals, three assists). All four of Patrick's goals were scored in the first half, including three in the first quarter.
- Mill, Sara Watts and Meghan Weiss each netted two goals and assisted on two for four points, while Naughton and Church each finished with a hat trick and an assist.
- Patrick added a game high six shots and three ground balls.
- Madison McGriff earned the win in goal after making four saves in the first 45 minutes of action. Antonia Batuello played the final 15 minutes, allowing four goals and making one save.
- Emily Eller led CSUP with three goals. Sedona Sargent chipped in two goals, an assist and four shots.
- The Mountain Lions outshot CSUP by 20, 33-13, including 27-13 shots on goal (14-shot advantage).
- UCCS was successful on 8-of-9 clear attempts and picked up 12 ground balls to the Packs seven.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The 13-goal win is the third largest scoring margin for UCCS this season.
- The Mountain Lions 35 points (21 goals, 14 assists) are tied for the most points in a game.
- With today's win, the Mountain Lions sweep CSU Pueblo in the regular season and gain four points in the Steel and Silver Series.
