COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team set new program records for most points (35) and most assists (16) recorded in a game, while
Hannah Mill's six assists set a new individual record for the Mountain Lions as they cruised past Hendrix College Wednesday afternoon, 19-1, at Mountain Lion Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Seventeen different Mountain Lions scored at least one goal while six combined to dish out 16 assists.
- Playing in gusty winds over 35mph, the Mountain Lions went to work quickly to snag an 8-0 lead in the first quarter. Angela Naughton connected with Julia Patrick 35 seconds into the game for the first score. Patrick then found Holly Sodomka a minute later for a 2-0 lead and the eventual game-winning goal. Eight different Mountain Lions scored in the first quarter as Mill collected three of her six assists.
- The second quarter opened with Natalie Church assisting on back-to-back goals to Regan Olson and Mill as UCCS pushed their lead to 10-0. The next six goals were career firsts for Meghan Weiss, Phoebe Estrada, Avery Beck-Davis, Sydney Hardy, Sydney Moreno and Morgan Cox.
- Beck-Davis' goal came on an assist from Naughton and put UCCS up, 13-0, at halftime. The Mountain Lions weaned the clock in the second half as Hardy and Moreno's goals were the only two scores recorded in the third quarter, giving the Mountain Lions a 16-0 after 45 minutes of action.
- With 4:37 remaining in regulation and trailing, 18-0, Brenna Kuenzi put the Warriors on the scoreboard to prevent the shutout.
- Mill found Morgan Miller with 83 ticks left in the game for the final score of the match and taking the game, 19-1.
GAME STATISTICS
- Mill's eight points are a game high and the most this season by any Mountain Lion. Her six assists broke Church's previous game record of five assists, set against Missouri Western State University earlier this season.
- UCCS finished the game with 36 shots, 15 of which came in the first quarter. The Mountain Lions defense held Hendrix to only one shot in the first half as HC finished the game with seven shot attempts.
- The Mountain Lions were successful in eight of their nine clear attempts, and won 17 of the 25 draws while picking up 34 ground balls.
- Napp and Sodomka each won four draw while Patrick and Church snagged three each.
- Along with her game high eight points and six assists, Mill also led UCCS in shots (four) and ground balls (four).
- The 19 goals scored today are the fourth most in program history while the 34 ground balls are the third most.
- Lilah Biggers led Hendrix with four shots and four ground balls. Kuenzi added three ground balls and won five of the team's six draws.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Madison McGriff earned her eighth career win in goal (8-7-0), tying her with Kennedy Travis for most wins by a UCCS goalkeeper.
- The 18-goal differently is the largest win by the Mountain Lions since a 28-0 win over Adams State University on April 5, 2019.
- The one goal allowed is the fewest goals by an opponent since the Mountain Lions shutout Adams State last season, 18-0 (April 18, 2021).
