HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The high-powered Mountain Lion attack was on display once again on Sunday as

• UCCS would fire off 10 more shots in the half with
Jael Larson inches away from pushing the Mountain Lions ahead two more scores after the junior rattled the right post followed by the left post in back-to-to back possessions late in the half. As the offense went to work so did the UCCS backline as they held CCU to only two shots to close out the second half.
• The Mountain Lions came out of the second half with their foot on the gas as 46 seconds in
Gabriella Lancaster celebrated her Senior Day by taking a pass from midfield and outrunning her defender down the far sideline to finish it off in the right side of net for the 2-0 lead.
• That was just the beginning for UCCS as a double-assist goal came next as a pass from
Kaitlin Hinkle found Lasater in the box who provided an incredible back-heel pass that found an open
Annie Louthan as she finished it off for a 3-0 advantage over the Cougars in the 50
th minute.
• Later in the 57
th minute, Lasater made yet another scoring appearance and continued to wow the hometown crowd as she took a pass and settled just off the 25-yard line then fired a laser off her right foot that bended into the top left corner of net to make it 4-0.
• In the last 10 minutes of play, UCCS continued to pin back CCU as freshman
Jessica Rockwell joined in on the scoring action thanks to a double assist from a
Kelsey Takahashi corner that was headed by
Zoe Sims and then chipped in by Rockwell for the 5-0 score at 81:24.
• After netting a goal earlier in the half, Lancaster put the bow on a great Senior Day for the Mountain Lions as she took a pass into the left side of the box where she created space off her defender put a shot inside the far post that found nylon for the 6-0 win.
