NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their third week of national rankings on Tuesday with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field teams sliding back two spots after a weekend of no competition. Though the Mountain Lions did not compete they still remain a top-15 ranked program with the men's team at No. 11 (74.30 points) and the UCCS women's team notching their third consecutive top-10 ranking at No. 9 (85.58 points) in the country.
Grand Valley State University's women's team (331.20 points) currently ranks No. 1 with Colorado School of Mines taking the top spot on the men's side (170.73 points).
For the Mountain Lion men, six student-athletes have posted six provisional marks and two automatic qualifying mark in three meets this season with four marks ranking top-10 in the nation:
On the women's side, eight Mountain Lions have registered a total of 10 provisional marks with six of the marks ranking top-10 within Division II:
UCCS Track & Field will be back in action Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13 as they host the Colorado Running company UCCS Open.
