COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the third week this season, senior
Hannah Meek as been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the RMAC on Wednesday.
Meek has had an impressive indoor season and this past weekend at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Open was no different as she punched her ticket to Birmingham, Ala. with an automatic qualifying mark that ranks as the number one long jump mark in Division II. Meek checked off every box with her 6.17m jump as she won the event, set a new personal best, set a new program record, and set a new facility record. After posting her stellar long jump mark the first day of the meet, Meek came out to also win the triple jump the next day with a provisional mark of 12.27m.
Meek and the Mountain Lions will be off this upcoming weekend as they begin to make a strong push towards a repeat at RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships beginning Friday, Feb. 26 in Spearfish, S.D.
