Women's Soccer Ranked No. 4 in Week One of NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Wednesday, the NCAA released the first of three regional rankings (Oct. 27, Nov. 3, Nov. 10) with the No. 15 University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team ranked as the number four team in the South Central Region.

The NCAA Regional Rankings list the top teams in each of the eight regions in Division II.

No. 5 Dallas Baptist University (13-2, 11-2 in-region record) sits atop the South Central Region with Colorado Mesa University (11-2, 11-1 in-region record) and No. 21 Colorado School of Mines (11-2-3, 10-1-3 in-region record) plugging in at second and third in the region, respectively.

The RMAC and the Lone Star Conference comprise the South Central Region where the top six teams out of the region will receive a berth to the NCAA Tournament. Winners of the RMAC and Lone Star Conference tournaments each receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

The Mountain Lions will be back on the road this week starting with an away match at Regis University on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a 2:30 p.m. match on Sunday, Oct. 31 against Colorado Christian University.
