NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field teams remain steady in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Week Five poll after competing in the Air Force Collegiate Open this past weekend. The Mountain Lion women remain within the top-25 as they rank 18
th in the nation with 44.15 points, while the men's team ranks 32
nd in DII with 25.05 points.
On the women's side, Grand Valley State University tops the rankings with 229.35 points while Angelo State University ranks as the top men's team in DII with 137.11 points.
For the Mountain Lion men, 10 student-athletes have combined for 12 provisional marks so far this season with two of those marks ranking top-10 in the nation:
The UCCS women have six Mountain Lions who have registered 10 provisional marks with three of the marks ranking top-10 within Division II:
UCCS' upcoming meet comes next weekend as the Mountain Lions prepare to host the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Indoor Track Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, Feb. 29 inside Mountain Lion Fieldhouse.
