COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After a strong performance in Lubbock this past weekend, senior Will Ross of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's track & field team is voted the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.

Ross competed in both the men's long jump and triple jump this weekend where he registered two provisional marks and a top-10 finish at the Texas Tech Shootout. In the long jump, Ross recorded a jump of 7.13m to finish in eighth place and tally his first provisional mark of the meet. The next day, Ross claimed 12th place in the triple jump with a provisional qualifying jump of 14.55m. The senior currently ranks first in the conference and ninth in DII in the long jump, and he also has the second best mark in the conference and 13th best mark in DII in the men's triple jump.

UCCS' upcoming meet is next weekend as the Mountain Lions prepare to host the RMAC Indoor Track Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, Feb. 29 inside Mountain Lion Fieldhouse.
