COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released their 2020-21 Preseason Indoor Track & Field Coaches Poll as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs track & field teams are favorites to repeat as RMAC Champions. The Mountain Lion men sit atop the coaches poll with 117 points and seven first place votes, as the women's team received 118 points and eight first place votes.
In the 2019-20 indoor season, the motto "Two Trophies, One Team" fueled the Mountain Lions to a pair of RMAC Championships. It was the first RMAC Championship held inside Mountain Fieldhouse as the Mountain Lions celebrated on their home turf with 158.5 points scored on the women's side and 157.66 points scored for the men's team. More than 50 points separated the 2019-20 RMAC Champions from runner-up Colorado School of Mines on both sides as the Mountain Lions made 22 podium appearances including 10 gold medal finishes. For the UCCS men's team, it was their first ever conference championship while the women's team notched their second indoor conference championship in the last three years.

After hosting Metropolitan State University Denver for the MSU Denver vs. UCC Dual on Dec. 11, the Mountain Lions 2020-21 indoor season will continue in the new year with the Colorado State University Pueblo vs. UCCS Dual on Saturday, Jan. 23 inside Mountain Lion Fieldhouse.
