COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In the final rankings of the 2020 Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Polls, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs cross country programs are both ranked in the Top 10 in the country.
The Mountain Lions men's team received 49 points and are tied for ninth place with Lewis in the final edition of the poll, while the women's cross country program finishes the season ranked No. 10 with 48 points.
The 2020 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champions, Colorado School of Mines (men) and Western Colorado University (women), claimed the top spot in the 15-team polls, respectively.
Both Mountain Lion programs qualified for the inaugural 2020 Division II National Invitational meet but were unable to compete due to COVID restrictions. Both teams last competed on Oct. 24 at the RMAC Championship meet. The UCCS women's team claimed a fifth-place finish as the men's team earned a sixth-place finish.
