COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs Assistant Athletic Director
Ashley Klug announced the hiring of
Cherise Endres to the Athletic Medicine department. Endres will primarily oversee women's lacrosse and women's soccer.
"We are excited to bring Cherise back to her home state and add her to the Mountain Lion family," said Klug. "She has a great skill set and work ethic that complements our program really well."
Endres joins the staff from Hannibal-LaGrange University, located in Hannibal, Mo., where she has served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the past four years for the 14-team Trojans athletic program. At HLGU, Endres was the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball, women's soccer, volleyball, cross country, track and field and softball. As an Adjunct Faculty member, she taught First Aid and CPR/AED courses for the university.
"I am excited to be back in Colorado and am looking forward to working with Mountain Lion Athletics," said Endres.
In 2013, Endres held the role as an athletic trainer for Athletes in Action Sports Performance. She provided athletic training coverage for youth sports, collegiate club baseball teams and post-college basketball teams. Her experience also includes covering college teams that traveled to Israel, France, Spain and Brazil.
From Littleton, Colo. and a product of Front Range Christian High School, Endres is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer and holds an AHA BLS CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Endres received her Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University in 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2011 from Southwest Baptist University.
