DURANGO, Colo. – May 8, 2018 – McKenna Vanko led the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional Tournament Tuesday afternoon at Hillcrest Golf Club (par 72, 6348 yards) in Durango, Colo.  Vanko recorded a 77 in round two and is tied for 12^th place with a 155 (78, 77).
 
As a team, the Mountain Lions are in seventh place.  UCCS shaved off three strokes from Monday's round, carding a two round total of 633 (318, 315).
 
Julia Baroth is tied for 27^th overall after posting a 157 (77, 80), including a birdie on Hole 5 (par 3).
 
Timbrelee McNair improved by three strokes on Tuesday, recording a 159 (81, 78).  McNair tallied two birdies on Hole 7 and Hole 10 and is currently tied for 32^nd place.
 
Alex Darwin is four strokes behind McNair and is tied for 47^th place with a 163 (83, 80).  Darwin also birdied two holes (Hole 2 and Hole 8).
 
Megan Vernon is tied for 62^nd place overall after posting a 169 (82, 87).
 
Dallas Baptist University leads the 12-team field (597).  Jocelyn Chee Yi Min of California Baptist University is the individual leader with a 147.
 
The third and final round of the tournament will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
