BOULDER CITY, Nevada – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golf team mirrored their score from Sunday's opening round and closed out Monday's action with a 305, putting them in a tie with Colorado Mesa University for third place through two rounds of the 2023 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship Tournament, held at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. UCCS is +34 par behind a two-round total 610 (305, 305).

- Emily Shimkus sank a birdie on her first hole today. She finished with three birdies on the back nine (36) and finished round two with a 73 (+1). Shimkus is sitting in second place with a two-day total 143 (70, 73).
- Kaya Kshatriya improved by one stroke on Monday and has shot a 153 (+9) in two days. After shooting a +4 on the front nine, she finished the final nine holes with an even par 36, bringing her total to 76 today.
- Two strokes behind Kshatriya and in a tie for 22nd place is Samantha Saile, who improved by three strokes today. Saile sank an eagle on No. 13 and added a birdie and 11 pars to the round.
- Tied for 30th overall is Rachel Penzenstadler with an eight-over par 80. Penzenstadler's 10 pars and one birdie today brought her 36-hole total to 159 (79, 80).
- In 38th place (tie) overall and fifth on the Mountain Lions squad is Olivia Florence who owns a 162 (79, 83, +18).
TOURNAMENT LEADERS
- Colorado State University Pueblo holds on to their lead on top of the 12-team leaderboard with a 582. The Pack's two-over par 290 today brings their lead to 25 strokes over second place Regis University (607).
- CSU Pueblo's Kylie Severin is the individual leader. Severin, who hit seven birdies today, is currently five-under par (139).
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- Kaya Kshastriya owns a 2.63 (-3) mark in par 3 scoring for a tournament best score.
- UCCS is tied for second in the field in par 3s (3.15, +6) and pars (98).
