TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golf team competed in West Texas A&M's Desert Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, placing 11^th overall.

The Mountain Lions were led by Alex Darwin, who finished tied for 21^st after shooting a combined 154 (75, 79) through two rounds.

Julia Baroth was tied for 44^th with a score of 161 (78, 83).

As a team, UCCS scored a 642 (319, 323) as they were top RMAC program at the tournament. The Mountan Lions edged out Colorado Mesa by four strokes as the Mavericks placed 12^th.

The team will face off against Colorado Mesa next week when they travel to Grand Junction to compete in the Maverick Spring Invitational.
