TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golf team competed in West Texas A&M's Desert Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, placing 11
th overall.
The Mountain Lions were led by
Alex Darwin, who finished tied for 21
st after shooting a combined 154 (75, 79) through two rounds.
Julia Baroth was tied for 44
th with a score of 161 (78, 83).
As a team, UCCS scored a 642 (319, 323) as they were top RMAC program at the tournament. The Mountan Lions edged out Colorado Mesa by four strokes as the Mavericks placed 12
th.
The team will face off against Colorado Mesa next week when they travel to Grand Junction to compete in the Maverick Spring Invitational.
