PUEBLO, Colo. – Following their record setting first round performance, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golf team placed second at CSU-Pueblo's Pack Spring Invite at Walking Stick Golf Club.
The Mountain Lions finished the tournament with a +19 over par performance after shooting a 595 (290, 305).
Julia Baroth,
McKenna Vanko, and
Timbrelee McNair all finished tied for seventh place by finishing +5 over par with a two- round score of 149.
Alex Darwin was tied for 15
th after shooting 152 (72, 80) to finish +8 over par.
UCCS was the top RMAC finishers as the edged the hosts by one stroke.
Midwestern State won the tournament with a score of 587 (291, 296) as Katie Ford of Dixie State was took medalist honors with a -2 under par performance, finishing with a 142 (71, 71).
The Mountain Lions are back in action next Monday and Tuesday when they travel south to compete in the West Texas A&M Desert Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.
