GOLDEN, Colo. – The University of Colorado Coloardo Springs track & field teams wrapped up day two of competition at the Mines Alumni Classic & Multi in Golden, Colo. on Friday. Freshman
Sam Repsher of the men's team competed in the 60m hurdles, pole vault, and 1000m to complete the heptathlon.
Entering Friday's last three events, Repsher sat in eighth place out of 19 competitors in the field with 2,687 points after placing his best finish in the 60m where he came in second with a time of 7.03.
Through the last three competitions, Repsher raced ahead to record a time of 8.75 in the 60m hurdles to finish fifth and register his best finish in day two of competition. The freshman came to finish the meet 16
th with 4,081 points in the heptathlon while wrapping up his first college meet as a UCCS Mountain Lion.
Track & Field returns back to competition tomorrow, Dec. 8
th as UCCS hosts their inaugural Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite at the Mountain Lion Fieldhouse. Saturday will begin with men's weight throws at 11:30 a.m., followed by the first track event starting at 1:00 p.m. with the women 5000 finals.
