SEASIDE, Calif. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs junior
Timbrelee McNair finished with a 13-over 85 and led the Mountain Lions in the first round of the Otter Invitational today at the Bayonet Course. UCCS is No. 17 in the team standings with a 67-over 355.
McNair recorded a birdie on hole five and finished even over her last four holes of the round. She tied for No. 71 in the standings in the field that featured four top-25 nationally-ranked teams.
Alex Darwin made two birdies today and finished with a 15-over 87 for the second team score.
Raquell Castillo turned in a 91 and
Forre Zook rounded out the team score with a 92 today. The Mountain Lions are 17 strokes behind Merrimack in the standings.
UCCS will finish the tournament with the final round on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., MDT. The Mountain Lions will be paired with golfers from Dominican and with individual golfers, and start on holes 15 through 18.
