PUEBLO, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's golf team wrapped up the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational at Pueblo Country Club with a sixth place finish as
Timbrelee McNair led the Mountain Lions with an 11
th place finish.
The junior paced UCCS as she shot 12-over par, entering the clubhouse with a score of 156 (78,78) in the two-round tournament, which was hosted by CSU-Pueblo.

Alex Darwin finished just four strokes behind McNair as she posted a 16-over par performance with a score of 160 (81,79). Senior
Forre Zook also finished with a score of 160 (78,82) as both players were tied for 20
th overall.
As a team, UCCS shot a 641 (321, 320) which was just six strokes behind fifth place Colorado Mesa. West Texas A&M won the season-opening tournament with a 611 (306, 305) as the Buffs' Mattye Mason took medalist honors with a two-over par performance, posting a score of 146 (72,74).
The Mountain Lions are back in action Sep. 12-13 when they compete in the Ranger Invitational at Murphy Creek G.C., hosted by Regis.
