SPEARFISH, S.D. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs sophomore
Nick Lemley scored for the Mountain Lions with an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles on the final day of the 2016 RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Black Hills State at Lyle Hare Stadium. Lemley was also the leadoff runner on the ninth-place 4x400-meter relay team for the Mountain Lions.
Lemley crossed the finish line in 58.24 seconds in the hurdles and joined
Kyle McCloskey,
Travis Anderson and
Willie Moore for a 3:26.20 performance in the 4x400-meter relay. The relay finished second in its heat and the altitude-adjusted time of 3:26.64 was the best of the season.
McCloskey finished No. 10 in the finals of the 1,500-meter run with 3:59.57 and broke the four-minute mark for the sixth time this season.
David Kimaiyo placed No. 12 with 4:01.77 in today's final.
Corey Brown led four Mountain Lions in the 5,000-meter run with 15:34.54 in his fourth 5K of the season.
UCCS will compete one more time before the deadline for NCAA qualifying performances on May 15 at the Colorado Mines Last Chance Meet in Golden, Colo.
