PUEBLO, Colo. - University of Colorado Colorado Springs sophomore hurdler
Nick Lemley finished in 58.12 seconds and junior jumper Sean Durck made his Mountain Lion outdoor debut in the long and triple jump in a small group to compete at the Colorado State-Pueblo Pack Classic today at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
Lemley came within three-tenths of a second of his best time in his first hurdle competition of the season. He won his heat by nearly a half second and finished sixth overall.
Durck jumped 40 feet, 1 1/2 inches in the triple jump and 19, 8 1/4 in the long jump in his first competition since the RMAC Indoor Championships. He recorded his best jumps in each event against the wind, and finished No. 13 in the triple jump and No. 27 in the long jump.
The Mountain Lions will be back in action as a full team for the Colorado Invitational on April 9, hosted by CU Boulder at Potts Field.
