GOLDEN, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs sophomore runner David Kimaiyo matched his mile time from three weeks ago and Mitch Klomp lead a pack of Mountain Lion runners in the 3,000-meter run as UCCS competed at the Joe Davies Classic today at Steinhauer Fieldhouse. Kimaiyo ran 4 minutes, 26.13 seconds in a sixth-place finish today.

Kimaiyo's unadjusted time of 4:14.23 puts him at No. 17 in the RMAC performance lists one week before the conference championships. It was the same time and finish from the Division II Invitational on the same track on Jan. 30.

Klomp used his first 3,000-meter run time of the season to lead seven Mountain Lions in the race today. He finished in 9:13.26 and was third among collegiate runners. Jarrett Eller placed No. 11 overall and sixth in the college results with 9:20.39.
