GOLDEN, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's track and field team tallied five season-best times and four top-five finishes at the Colorado School of Mines Last Chance Meet at the Stermole Track and Field Complex. The Mountain Lions closed out the 2014-15 outdoor season with runners in three events today.

Ryder Tam ran a season-best altitude-adjusted time 4 minutes, 2.56 seconds to lead three Mountain Lions in the 1,500-meter run this morning. It was an improvement of nearly three seconds from his time at the conference championships last weekend and placed him No. 12 in the field of 22 runners. Travis Anderson and David Marino ran sea level times of 4:10.98 and 4:13.67, respectively.

Ricardo Malta led the Mountain Lion sprinters in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash today. He ran a season-best adjusted time of 23.30 seconds in a third-place finish in the 200 dash and placed fourth in the 100 dash with an adjusted 11.62 seconds. Caleb Simons ran a season-best time in the 100-meter dash with an altitude-converted mark of 11.90 seconds to place fifth and Ryan Buchanan finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a season-best 23.55 seconds.

Today's meet marked the end of the outdoor season for UCCS as no Mountain Lions reached NCAA provisional or qualifying marks this season. UCCS finished No. 10 at the conference championships last week.
