PUEBLO, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs senior
Ryan Buchanan finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Mountain Lions on the final day of the 2015 RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Colorado State-Pueblo. UCCS finished No. 10 in the team standings.
Buchanan ran 55.11 seconds to score four points for the Mountain Lions in his third top-five finish in the hurdles at the conference outdoor championships in his career. He also ran the lead-off leg of the 4x400-meter relay team and ran with
Justin Bills,
Travis Anderson and
Caleb Simons to finish seventh in 3:27.31.
Ryder Tam led seven Mountain Lions in the 5,000-meter run with 16:04.11 and finished No. 12 in his heat and No. 22 overall.
UCCS will be in action again at the Colorado Mines Last Chance Meet on May 10. It will be the final opportunity to record qualifying marks for the NCAA Division II National Championships later this month.
