GOLDEN, Colo. –
Forrest Hough ran an altitude-adjusted season-best time in the 5,000-meter run to start the competition for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's track and field team at the Colorado School of Mines Pre-Conference Meet at the Stermole Complex. Hough finished No. 10 in the second heat and seventh among collegiate runners.
Hough ran 17 minutes, 8.10 seconds for a sea level time of 16:34.36. It was nearly a second faster than his time at the Alex Francis Classic at Fort Hays State during Spring Break and it moved him up one spot in the RMAC performance lists.
UCCS will continue action tomorrow morning with the start of the 1,500-meter run at 10:10 a.m. Event times were moved up two hours from earlier this week to take advantage of better weather conditions in the morning.
