BOULDER, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs senior hurdler Ryan Buchanan lowered his adjusted time by nearly two seconds in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Mountain Lions at the Colorado Invitational at CU-Boulder. He finished fifth with a raw time of 55.58 seconds.

Buchanan's altitude-adjusted time of 55.69 seconds unofficially moves him into fourth in the RMAC performance lists. He ran the third leg on the 4x100-meter relay team that finished sixth with Ricardo Malto, Nick Lemley and Caleb Simons.

Lemley cut more than a second-and-a-half off of his adjusted 400-meter hurdle time with a sea level time of 1:00.23 to finish eighth. He ran 17.01 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles earlier in the day.

Matt Winfrey led 10 Mountain Lions who competed in the 1,500-meter run with 4:07.59. His adjusted time of 4:01.69 came within eight-hundredths of a second of his adjusted season-best at the Texas State Bobcat Open during Spring Break.

Justin Bills ran his fastest 800-meter run since the 2013 RMAC Championships with 1:58.77 for an adjusted 1:57.55. He unofficially moved up to No. 15 in the conference performance lists. Simons ran within three-hundredths of his best time this year with 23.25 seconds in the 200-meter dash. 

UCCS will be sending athletes to multiple locations next week between the Kansas Relays, Beach Invitational at Long Beach State, Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific.
