Jessica Todd earned All-RMAC honors in the 400-meter hurdles for the second straight season and led three Mountain Lions who finished with all-conference awards on the final day as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's track and field team placed eighth at the 2014 RMAC Outdoor Championships at Adams State.
Todd finished as the conference runner-up in 1:03.83 to earn First Team honors for the first time in her outdoor career. She lowered her personal best time in the event and recorded the best finish for the Mountain Lions in the championships.
The Mountain Lions collected a pair of all-conference awards in the 800-meter run, led by
Alexa Urban's fourth-place finish in 2:21.38. She earned a spot on the All-RMAC Second Team.
Amber McAfee earned Third Team honors with a sixth-place finish in 2:23.62. UCCS was the only team with multiple all-conference runners in the event today.
McKenzie Urban scored points with 5:08.95 in the 1,500-meter run to finish eighth. She ran the anchor leg on the 4x400-meter relay and was joined her Todd, McAfee, and her sister,
Alexa Urban, in a sixth-place finish in 4:01.43.
The Mountain Lions have finished eighth in the outdoor conference championships in three of the last six seasons in their highest team finishes in that span.
UCCS will have one more shot for individuals to reach qualifying marks for the NCAA championships this Sunday with last chance meets at Colorado Mines in Golden, Colo., and at Adams State.
