The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Berkowitz lands on the CSC Academic All- District Team for the second consecutive season after putting together another exceptional year in the classroom and on the field. A two-time member of the RMAC All-Academic First Team, Berkowitz played a key role in the Mountain Lions' lineup as she appeared in 47 games and made 38 starts in the outfield, recording a .321 batting average with four doubles, 18 RBIs, 25 runs scored, and nine stolen bases. Across 122 plate appearances, the Scottsdale, Ariz. native recorded a career-best .353 on-base percentage while recording 34 hits and drawing six walks. Throughout the first three years of her collegiate career at UCCS, Berkowitz has notched a .315 batting average with 130 hits, 18 doubles, 66 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases in 147 games played.
After making her debut on the RMAC All-Academic First Team a couple weeks ago, Gutierrez earns a spot on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time in her collegiate career coming off a senior season in which she had a breakout season on the diamond while continuing her excellent work in the classroom. Gutierrez, who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Inclusive Elementary Education in the fall and began her Master of Arts in Special Education this spring, developed into one of the Mountain Lions' top offensive players during the 2026 campaign as she appeared in 54 games and made 45 starts in the outfield while leading the team in triples (6) and ranking second on the squad in batting average (.433), hits (68), runs (50), on-base percentage (.465), and stolen bases (32). An All-RMAC Second Team and RMAC Gold Glove honoree, Gutierrez was flawless on the defensive side of the ball as she posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors in 70 total chances while recording 69 putouts and one outfield assist. In 140 games played over the past three seasons with the Mountain Lions, Gutierrez notched a .327 batting average with 117 hits, 10 doubles, nine triples, 40 RBIs and 54 stolen bases.
