NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honors for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season on Wednesday, with 15 student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track and field teams combining to secure a total of 16 All-South Central Region accolades.
The top five individuals in each event from each region among the organization's member institutions earned USTFCCCA All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.
The UCCS men's track & field team had nine student-athletes earn All-Region accolades across seven different events for the 2026 outdoor season. Senior
Michael Roberts (Hammer Throw) and senior
Kyle Demos (Discus Throw) earned outdoor all-region accolades for the third consecutive year, while junior
Evan Atkin collected all-region honors in the decathlon for the second straight outdoor season. The remainder of the men's all-region recipients were first-time outdoor honorees in their respective events. The UCCS men's squad had a pair of student-athletes earn distinction as a top regional performer as Roberts and redshirt sophomore
Josiah Billington (Long Jump) both led the South Central in their respective events.

Krissie Sanders brought home a pair of honors as she secured all-region distinction in the 400m hurdles for the second time in her collegiate career while also earning recognition in the 100m hurdles for the first time. Senior
Brooke Peterson earned all-region honors in the pole vault for the second consecutive outdoor season, while freshman

Molly Breuer (3K Steeplechase), sophomore
Payton Rodgers (Triple Jump), and junior
Ayianna Johnson collected outdoor all-region recognition for the first time in their respective careers.

The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday, May 12, and the Mountain Lions are set to have 14 student-athletes competing across 11 individual entries and one relay entry at the three-day national championship meet, which will be held at Francis G. Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan., on May 21-23.
