Track & Field Secures 20 USTFCCCA All-South Central Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honors for the 2025-26 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field season on Wednesday afternoon, with 19 student-athletes from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's and women's track and field teams combining to collect a total of 20 All-South Central Region accolades.
 
The top five individuals in each event from each region among the organization's member institutions earned USTFCCCA All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.
 
The UCCS men's track & field team had nine student-athletes earn All-Region accolades across five different events for the 2025-26 indoor season. Senior Michael Roberts (Weight Throw) and junior Evan Atkin (Heptathlon) earned indoor all-region honors for the second consecutive year, while the remainder of the men's all-region recipients were first-time honorees in their respective events.  
 
USTFCCCA Men's All-Region Honors (South Central)
High Jump: Jake Hall – 4th in South Central (2.05m)
Long Jump: Jayden Nohr – 4th in South Central (7.32m)
Long Jump: Josiah Billington – 5th in South Central (7.23m)
Shot Put: Kyle Demos – 3rd in South Central (17.27m)
Shot Put: Kane Fobare – 5th in South Central (16.64m)
Weight Throw: Michael Roberts – 1st in South Central (20.39m)
Weight Throw: Hayden Cuevas – 3rd in South Central (19.80m)
Heptathlon: Dillon Arvayo – 2nd in South Central (5,209c)
Heptathlon: Evan Atkin – 4th in South Central (5,047c)
 
From the women's team, 10 student-athletes combined to record a total of 11 all-region accolades across seven different events. Senior Savannah Jorgens was the lone Mountain Lion to record multiple all-region honors as she collected the accolade for the second straight year in the weight throw and for the first time in the shot put. Junior Krissie Sanders (60m Hurdles), senior Brooke Peterson (Pole Vault), and sophomore Payton Rodgers (Triple Jump) joined Jorgens in securing all-region honors for the second time in their respective careers, while UCCS' remaining honorees earned the recognition for the first time.

60m Hurdles: Krissie Sanders – 3rd in South Central (8.52c)
High Jump: Dallis Robinson – 4th in South Central (1.70m)
Pole Vault: Brooke Peterson – 1st in South Central (3.92m)
Pole Vault: Sienna Boughen – 4th in South Central (3.80m)
Long Jump: Madissyn Moore – 4th in South Central (5.95m)
Long Jump: Maylee Thompson – 5th in South Central (5.91m)
Triple Jump: Payton Rodgers – 3rd in South Central (12.17m)
Shot Put: Savannah Jorgens – 4th in South Central (13.91m)
Shot Put: Bailey Young – 5th in South Central (13.84m)
Weight Throw: Savannah Jorgens – 2nd in South Central (19.30m)
Weight Throw: Grace Solarin – 5th in South Central (17.51m)
 
The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday, March 3, and the Mountain Lions are set to have 11 student-athletes competing across seven individual entries and one relay entry at the two-day national championship meet that will take place at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va., on March 13-14.
